He was a friend I wrote Rest In Etim Ekpo for. We had dreams for a better future for our family but life happened to him.

I pass your land and I wept

For out of these dusts you are gone.

Etim Ekpo, Oh Etim Ekpo

Land whose handsome son is gone

Who has done thee this evil?

Main man, where are you?

I weep without consolation

Who will take this tear away?

Death, how could you

Take the only joy of a mother

Death, how could you

Take the only man I could relate to?

But I am console

For out of him that lives on
