INTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR VACANT ACADEMIC POSITIONS IN THE NEWLY CREATED FACULTY OF COMPUTING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY, OJO, LAGOS
PREAMBLE
A. The University Senate has approved the transition of the Department of Computer Science into a full-fledged Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, with the creation of four (4) additional academic Programmes/Departments. This expansion reflects LASU’s commitment to advancing the frontiers of innovation, research, and technology in Nigeria and beyond.
The newly created faculty will now comprise the following departments:
- Computer Science
- Cyber Security
- Software Engineering
- Information and Communication Technology
- Data Science
B. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the academic position of Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02) in any of the five (5) departments listed above.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT LECTURER
Applicants for the Assistant Lecturer role must meet the following requirements:
- Must have five (5) O’Level credits in not more than two (2) sittings.
- Must possess a B.Sc. degree with at least a Second Class Upper Division (2¹) in a related field.
- Must hold an M.Sc. degree in any of the areas listed above.
- Must provide evidence of enrollment in a Ph.D. programme in one of the specified fields.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies will be considered an added advantage.

Interested candidates should prepare thirty (30) copies of a detailed application which must include photocopies of credentials (O’Level result, Birth Certificate or Sworn Affidavit inclusive).
