2025 Nationwide League One Season Kicks Off with Uyo Township Stadium as One of the Official Match Centers

The 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) season officially commenced on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with an opening fixture between Hyperbuzz FC and Likeminds FC at the Bwari Township Stadium in Abuja. The full slate of nationwide fixtures is set to begin on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, across 32 designated centers, including the Uyo Township Stadium.

The NLO, Nigeria's third-tier football league, features over 130 teams competing for promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL). Teams will play in a round-robin format within their respective centers, with the top teams advancing to playoffs held in eight different venues. Ultimately, eight teams will earn promotion to the NNL.
